Melia Hotels International has opened its first hotel in Myanmar, the Melia Yangon, in Yangon, the country’s capital city. It is a strategic project for the company’s Asia Pacific region. The city is known for its historical colonial buildings and is the country’s largest commercial hub. The Melia is situated on Kaba Aye Pagoda Road, near the Shwedagon Pagoda and adjacent to Myanmar Plaza.
Melia Yangon is the first Melia hotel in Myanmar and features panoramic views of Lake Inya. The hotel’s location is ideal for both business and leisure travelers. It is only a 15-minute drive from the city centre, including the Shwedagon Pagoda. The Melia is also directly connected to Yangon’s largest shopping mall. Guests can enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of the lake and its surrounding mountains from the 430 spacious guestrooms. The hotel has an on-site fitness center and free Wi-Fi access.
